Carter's Review

This 14-story apartment building at 26-14 Jackson Avenue at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Purvis street in Court Square Park section of Long Island City was erected in 2014 by Ekstein Development and L + M Development Partners.

It has 98 rental apartments including 20 affordable units.  It also has about 5,000 square feet of retail space on its ground floor.

GF55 Partners LLP was the architect.

It is one block from the E, M, R and G subway lines.

Bottom Line

A red-brick rental apartment building close to the center of Long Island City and several subways with a roof deck and a fitness center.

Description

The red-brick building has a two-story black base and the top floor is partially setback.

It has discrete air-conditioners and some terraces.

Amenities

The building has a virtual doorman, a fitness center, a roof deck, storage, a laundry room, and bicycle storage.

Apartments

Penthouse C is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer near the open kitchen and the living/dining room that has an alcove that opens onto a large terrace and the master bedroom has a larger terrace.

Apartment G on the 5th through the 14th floors is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads the enclosed kitchen to the living/dining room.

Apartment A on the 3rd through the 14th floors is a one-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads past an open kitchen to the living/dining room.

Apartment C on the 2nd through the 14th floors is a studio unit with an entry foyer that leads past the enclosed kitchen to the living/dining room.
