Carter's Review

4720 Center Boulevard is a very handsome, waterfront rental building in Long Island City in a very large development owned by TF Cornerstone.

Erected by TF Cornerstone, it was designed by Arquitectonica.

Constructed in 2012, the 32-floor rental contains 345 apartments that feature floor-to-ceiling windows. Residences, which range from studios to three-bedroom units, have kitchens and bathrooms equipped with top-of-the-line fixtures.

Additional TF Cornerstone rentals on the 21-acre site include 4615 Center Boulevard, 4540 Center Bouelvard, 4545 Center Boulevard and 4610 Center Boulevard.

Bottom Line

One of the major towers of a waterfront development in Long Island City, this handsome tower overlooks the Gantry Park and the United Nations.

Description

The main slab of the blue-glass tower has a protruding wedge that has a recessed component and at its base a small protruding red wedge a pleasant, modernist collage of forms.

Amenities

The building has a roof deck, a doorman, a gym, a laundry, and a live-in superintendent.  

It permits pets.

Apartments

Apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows and granite kitchen counters.  Some units have balconies and washers and dryers.

Apartment 3001 is a two-bedroom unit with an 18-foot-long living/dining room and an open kitchen.

Unit 16 on the 8th floor is a two-bedroom unit with a 19-foot-long living/dining room with a pass-through kitchen and a balcony.

Apartment 1015 is a one-bedroom unit with a 19-foot-long living/dining room, a pass-through kitchen and a balcony.

Apartment 305 is a three-bedroom unit with an entry thta leads to  19-foot-long living room with a 10-foot-square dining alcove next to a kitchen.
