Carter's Review
This attractive, 9-story building at 42-50 27th Street between 42nd Road and 43rd Avenue in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City was erected in 2017 and has 32 condominium apartments.
It was developed by Ampiera Group LLC.
My Architect was the designer.
The site was formerly an automobile repair shop.
The site is about two blocks from the Queensboro Plaza stop on the 7, N, and Q trains. It’s slightly farther from the Queens Plaza stop on the E, M, and R trains.
Bottom Line
An attractive mid-rise apartment building with a virtual doorman and automobile and bicycle parking and good subway access in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City.
Description
The building has an entrance marquee and 6-pane windows.
The façade has a three-part façade with the central section outline by mauve-colored piers that extend up into the cornice area.
Amenities
The building has a virtual doorman, 18 bicycle parking spaces, a package room, 7 indoor parking spaces, residential storage and the second floor has a 1,460-square-foot outdoor recreation area.
Apartments
The 32 units will start with one on the first floor, three on the second floor, and four each on the third through ninth floors.
Apartments have washers and dryers, large windows, Nest Thermostats, and kitchens with appliances by Miele, Lieber, Bertrazzoni and Bosch, Moen sinks and Calacatta marble countertops. Baths have Toto toilets, Kohler tubs and Porcelanosa tiles.
Apartment 9C is a corner two-bedroom unit with 929 square feet of interior space and 69 square feet of outdoor space with an open kitchen with a breakfast bar.
