Carter's Review

This attractive, full-service, 12-story condominium apartment building known as the Echelon at 13-11 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City in Queens was completed in 2012. 

It has 54 apartments.

The building, which is also known as 11-24 47th Avenue, was developed by Jackson Avenue Partners LLC, of which Ron Hershco is a partner.

It was designed by Newman Design Group and FxFowle Architects P.C.

Bottom Line

A handsome, full-service, mid-rise building in Long Island City.

Description

It is several blocks east of the Gantry Plaza State Park and a little more than a block from the Pulaski Bridge.

It has a two-tone façade and discrete air-conditioning units.

There is a setback above the 8th floor and the center portion of the façade has a slightly protruding, ribbed section above the double-height lobby, at the setback and at the roofline.

Amenities

The building has a full-time doorman, refrigerated storage, a health club, a garage, a roof deck and a live-in superintendent.

Apartments

Apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows. 

Kitchens have stainless-steel appliances and washers and dryers. 

A one-bedroom unit has an angled, 30-long living room with a dining area. 

Unit C is a one-bedroom unit with a 12-foot-wide dining room adjacent to an open kitchen and a 21-foot-long living room.

Unit A is a two-bedroom unit that has an 11-foot-long home office across from the entrance that is also near the 13-foot-wide kitchen and the 29-foot-long living/dining room. 

A two-bedroom unit has a 16-foot-long dining area near the kitchen and an angled 30-foot-long living room. 

Apartment 9B is a one-bedroom unit with a 10-foot-wide dining area next to an 8-foot-long open kitchen and a 15-foot-wide living room that opens onto a 35-foot-long terrace.
