Carter's Review

This handsome. 18-story building at 4630 Center Boulevard in Long Island City was erected in 2010 by TF Cornerstone.

It has 184 condominium apartments.

The building, which is just to the north of the famous Pepsi-Cola sign along the river, was designed by Handel Architects.

Bottom Line

Directly across the East River from the United Nations, this full-service riverfront building has spectacular views of Midtown Manhattan and is adjacent to a riverfront park.

Description

The building has a tower that steps down to a mid-rise slab that then steps down to a low-rise section, all with broad expanses of windows with crisp fenestration. The north side of the tower is stepped in plan to create more corner windows and the top two floors of the tower facing south are set back to open up space in the complex.

The building has a handsome, paneled and curved lobby.
