City records recently indicated that 39 East 29th Street LLC, the listed owner of the site whose address is in care of Lawrence Ruben & Company, has made air rights agreements with nearby properties.
CityRealty.com reported May 30, 2006, that H. Thomas O'Hara designed a 31-story residential tower for the vacant site, which is between Madison and Park Avenues, and which was anticipated to contain 132 residential condominium apartments with many corner windows and no balconies.
The site is about one block to the east of another major new residential condominium tower now under construction at 11 West 29th Street.
An article by Steve Cuozzo in today's edition of The New York Post indicated that Woody Heller of Studley Capital Transactions Group is now "fielding offers" that are due June 28 for the development site and the asking price is $400 a buildable foot.
