When Architects Newspaper uncovered the renderings of a new building designed by Peterson Rich Office at 282 Grand Street in February, the design community reacted with excitement. The building will rise on the site of a low-rise building that housed a Chinese grocery. ground floor of the building will have over 3,000 square feet of gallery space. On top, 20 rental apartments will be built within seven stories, including two penthouses on the roof. The plans indicate that amenities will include a lounge, laundry room, and bike room.
