It's been a long road for SoHo's 15 Renwick, a condo building located between Spring and Canal Streets that has been more or less in development since 2006. It was eventually acquired by Izaki Group Investments who filed plans for an 11-story, 31-unit ODA-designed structure that would end up being completed in 2015.
The building is described as a stylistic counter to the overproduced "crystal towers" littering the city and draws contextual inspiration from the building's artsy historic Hudson Square setting. Fortunately, in this instance, strict zoning didn't result in an inferior design. ODA was able to creatively skirt around the rules to bring a total of 8,300 square feet of outdoor space by redistributing the building's upper massing, opening large geometric pockets for private terraces. The modern facade employs wood-grained window inserts, copper panels, and a grid of deep, charcoal-hued aluminum fins for privacy. Inside, interior spaces are designed after early British social clubs through the use of rich wood panels, leather, and marble details.

There are just two ultra-lux remaining units on the market:
a 3,516-square-foot multi-level townhome (one of three in the building) with an ask of $5.9M and a lavish 3,575-square-foot penthouse unit for $8.9M.
Both homes offer plenty of envy-inspiring details. The townhome unit features three-bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, and open flow living room with 18-foot ceilings, a private yard, and a spacious lower level with a recreation room, powder room, and storage.
The penthouse duplex accommodates four bedrooms, five baths, and two outdoor terraces. Walnut cabinets, stainless steel countertops, and the latest high-end appliances complete the Italian-made Poliform kitchens and the five-fixture master baths add that touch of luxury. Additionally, all homes feature wide-plank walnut flooring, 8-foot windows, fixtures by Waterworks, Bosch washer/dryers, and Creston Home Automation Systems.
As for amenities, 15 Renwick offers its residents optional private parking, a fitness center and boxing gym, roof deck, zen garden designed by HM White Site Architects, on-site storage, and a 24-hour doorman.
