Two Waterline Square will be the largest building in the Riverside South plan. A whopping 595 units will brim to the top of the two-towered, 38-story building. Designed by the internationally-acclaimed office of KPF, with Hill West as executive architects, the tower stands in stark contrast to the rigid geometries of the older Riverside South buildings to the north. KPF throws everything but the kitchen sink at the design, and the rising reflective skin makes the structure even harder to define. The cascading form vaguely resembles a ship’s prow, and the long east-west faces are loaded with slants, cantilevers and terraced areas wedged in between.
Behind the façade will be 486 rentals and 160 condos that start on the 20th floor. Yabu Pushelberg is honing the interiors which will have full-height window walls and Italian kitchens by Scavolini. The unusual floorplates yield a plethora of corner windows with angling exposures optimizing views towards the Hudson River. All the listed condos are within the taller western wing which features views up and down the waterfront. One-bedrooms have asking prices from $1.85 million, two-beds from $2.82 million, three-beds $4.45 million and four-beds from $6.9 million.
The building’s amenities are located on the 18th floor and include a private 22-seat dining room with catering kitchen, lounge with balcony, media room, billiards table and bar, a great room with fireplace and access to a fully furnished and landscaped sundeck with two outdoor kitchens.
