Between its frequent appearances in and the recently opened ferry stop, Greenpoint’s momentum shows no sign of slowing down. One Blue Slip, a towering rental in Greenpoint Landing, recently launched leasing. An ultra-modern condo is on the rise at 141 Green Street following the demolition of the single-story warehouse formerly on-site. And a short walk from the ferry, construction is nearly complete on 78 Freeman Street, a sleek five-story condominium with Brooklyn-based developer Investmates at the helm.
Designer INOA Architecture, led by Murat Mutlu, notes that the building’s angled inset windows and balconies will create dynamic facades on all sides. The windows will naturally fill the full-floor apartments with amazing natural light, and future owners will be happy to have their own private outdoor space: The ground-floor apartment will have a private back garden, two apartments will have private balconies, and the duplex penthouse will have a balcony and a private roof terrace with views of Manhattan, Queens, and the East River.
Apartments at 78 Freeman Street are expected to range from two to three bedrooms. According to CityRealty listings, the median price for Greenpoint condos is $1.213 million for two-bedrooms and $2.047 million for three-bedrooms. An offering plan currently under review lists a $5.6 million sellout for 78 Freeman Street.
