Less than two years after construction topped out, the scaffolding is finally coming down at 688 Broadway to reveal One Great Jones Alley in its full glory. The brick and glass façade designed by BKSK Architects pays homage to the neighborhood’s historic materials, while a secondary screen of terra cotta fins adds a signature touch. Field Condition recently visited the site and got a look at the newly revealed boutique condominium.

The Landmarks Preservation Commission predicted that One Great Jones Alley would someday be a New York City landmark itself, and the cachet of living in one is surely a powerful lure for would-be buyers, as is the highly desirable downtown location. The interiors cannot be ignored, either: All gorgeously appointed residences feature soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, custom kitchens, gracious master suites, and top-of-the-line finishes and fixtures. Amenities include an exclusive private alley entrance, a lushly landscaped terrace, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a serene water spa.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, all six apartments currently on the market have entered contract. Closed sales at One Great Jones Alley come in at an average of $2,818 per square foot. This is well above the Noho average of $2,463 per square foot (per CityRealty data).
