When we last covered Greystone Development's 108 Chambers Street in January, the Department of Building's permit detailed a single-floor commercial structure. Amended permits now show the full scope of the 10-floor building. There will be ground-floor retail, one apartment per floor from levels 2-8, and a single duplex penthouse on floors 9 and 10.
New renderings have also been released for the mixed-use project designed by Woods Bagot. The building will be enclosed in a glass façade and framed by beveled elements. So far, it looks like the residences on top will have floor-to-ceiling windows, and access to an outdoor roof terrace. In 2016, Tribeca Citizen revealed that the retail tenants will be Starbucks and Vitamin Shoppe, and they have both been included in the renderings. While the Starbucks will be the ultimate unofficial amenity for residents of the apartments above, more details on what the building will offer are not yet available.
