Back in May, foundation work at Greenwich West had just begun but yesterday, developers officially announced its groundbreaking and with it came some new renderings, details, and a brand new website featuring the acclaimed work of the New York City-based fine artist Aaron Zulpo. According to a recent press release of the project, Zulpo was commissioned to create a "series of works that tell the story of life at Greenwich West in his signature dramatic style." The 30-story project, currently rising at 110 Charlton Street, marks Strategic Capital’s first luxury condo development in New York City. Cape Advisors and Forum Absolute are serving as co-developers.
You can expect sales to launch this fall on the building's 170 studio through three-bedroom units. Prices will start under $1 million, a rarity for new developments in this SoHo neighborhood, where CityRealty data shows one-bedrooms have a current median condo price of $1.74 million. Greenwich West is situated near other prime Downtown neighborhoods, including Greenwich Village, the West Village, and Tribeca. First closings should commence in early 2020.
“This project presented us with a one-of-a-kind opportunity. It is situated in one of the few prime waterfront neighborhoods in Manhattan at the nexus of some of the city’s most beloved areas,” said Craig Wood, CEO of Cape Advisors.
Acclaimed Parisian designers Loci Anima and interior designer Sebastien Segers Architecte will join architect of record Adamson Associates to design a building fused with a contextual industrial look and a classic French aesthetic. The result? Chic condominiums offering enviable views of the Hudson River.
The full-service building will offer a concierge, doorman, fitness center, lounge, children's activity room, an amenity roof terrace, and automated parking. The ground floor will feature a cafe retail space.
