Jardim’s name was taken from the Portuguese for “garden,” which is exactly what the two-building development is surrounded by. Designed in collaboration with Future Green Studio, the dense greenery features native evergreens, fragrant flowering trees, indigenous shrubs, and lounge areas with layered plantings of long-blooming perennials. A stone-faced staircase leads to the garden, which can also be seen through a latticed wall in the lobby.
In a stretch of West Chelsea, developers and designers from all over the world are eager to make a statement along the High Line. Brazilian architect and interior designer Isay Weinfeld is one of them, and he has taken it one step further with Jardim, his first residential development in the United States: In addition to being half a block from the High Line, it is surrounded by a private, multi-level urban park. Centaur Properties and Greyscale Development are at the helm of the property, which has officially opened.

Between the brick-vaulted tunnel connecting both 11-story buildings and only 36 residences throughout the buildings, residents of Jardim can expect excellent privacy. They can also expect incredible light from floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious terraces integrated with indoor living areas that act as an extension of the outdoors. Additional features include high ceilings, grand entrance galleries, custom oak paneling, chef’s kitchens designed by Isay Weinfeld, luxe bedrooms, and spa-like baths.
In addition to the garden, Jardim is home to a host of luxurious amenities. The piece de resistance is a 60’ lap pool lit by staggered skylights and surrounded by terrazzo floors and reclaimed old-growth pine walls. Additional health and wellness offerings include a fitness center, movement studio, and men’s and women’s locker rooms with sauna and steam room. Jardim also has a children’s playroom and automated parking system.
Sales got off to a brisk start, and the seven current availabilities range from a one-bedroom for $1.985 million to a four-bedroom for $8.975 million.
