When CityRealty got its first look at the new condominium planned for 33 Frost Street at the end of last year, the design by Mortar Architecture + Development called for a five-story building with panels of wooden screens, a pair of exterior scissor staircases, and inset terraces to rise on a vacant lot. However, a newly released rendering shows a lighter, airier look with white cementitious materials and a metal shading system. An interlocking set of stairs winds from the roof level to the ground floor, creating a pleasing look in the process.
Plans filed with the city call for no more than two apartments per floor, and the 10 units come to an average size of 1,000 square feet. Renderings show open layouts, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, and sleek yet welcoming kitchens.
Residential amenities will include a roof deck and attended lobby, but the new building’s most highly coveted offering is its prime Williamsburg location. It is one block south of McCarren Park and surrounded by local favorites like Lilia, Pete’s Candy Store, and Llama Inn. It is also situated up the street from the Metropolitan Avenue G stop and the Lorimer Avenue L stop.

An offering plan filed with the New York Attorney General’s office last November lists a $14.3 million sellout. If accepted, it would bring the apartments to an average price of $1.4 million. According to CityRealty listings, this would put them just above the Williamsburg median price of $1.3 million for condos.
