Murray Hill is best known as a young hopping neighborhood, home to 20- and 30-year-old professionals drawn to its convenience to Midtown, its proximity to trendy downtown districts, and affordable home prices when compared to surrounding areas. Murray Hill's latest for-sale building, called The Lindley, captures all its neighborhood's advantages bringing 74 tax-abated apartments priced from the low $900,000s.
Standing at 591 Third Avenue, between East 38th and 39th streets, the 20-floor building was developed by CBSK Ironstate and designed by Rawlings Architects — the same collabo that built Frontier rentals next door. The sales team, led by the Marketing Directors, alerted us that 70% of the homes are now in contract and as of late August, remaining listings include studios priced from $935K, one-bedrooms from $1.335M, two-bedrooms from $1.9M and three-bedrooms from $3.025M. Best of all, a 10-year 421a tax abatement is anticipated.

A recent swing by the building shows that its agreeable facade composed of tan brick and large casement-style windows is finished. Interiors aim to be equally palatable with oak wood flooring, ample closet space and light-filled interiors fitted with high-end appliances and finishes. Newly-released photography of a one-bedroom model unit on the 14th-floor depict light-filled rooms finished in calming tones. The model home was put together by the building's developers along with leading home decor store Design Within Reach with the goal to create "an inviting urban oasis" in mind with warm and comfy furnishings. The 737-square foot apartment's signature pieces include a Saarinen dining table, Como Sectional Chaise, and a Royal Shelving System.
As with all apartments in the building, kitchens have white-frosted glass cabinets with quartz backsplashes and countertops and a suite of Sub Zero and Wolfe appliances that includes a wine fridge. Baths feature terrazzo flooring, marble-tiled walls and a custom-designed medicine cabinet complete with Grohe fixtures.
To complete the project's residential respite, bells and whistles will include 24/7 concierge service, a common lounge, fitness center, a superintendent, a bike room and private storage. Capping the building is a roof garden with a grilling and dining area, in addition to sparkling views of the city.
