Manhattan's top sale of the past week came in the country's (if not the world's) most successful condominium building ever built. A $66 million closing at Billionaires Row darling 220 Central Park South. The main unit in this sale, Villa 11, is a 3-bedroom, 4.5-bath duplex in the Villa section of the building, spanning 4,820 interior square feet and 1,685 square feet of outdoor terraces. It had an initial sponsor ask of $52 million and was sold with #19E, a 388-square-foot staff unit with an initial sponsor asking price of $1.36 million. This sale dethrones the nearby Central Park Tower, which had the top sale for the past three weeks, but this supertall isn't out of the running - a high-floor unit closed for $12.25 million.

This unit was conceived as a duplex penthouse, but was later split into two full-floor units. Several stories down, another full-floor unit, #25, closed for $19.5 million.
