There have recently been rumblings about Astoria being the neighborhood to watch, and they show no sign of quieting any time soon. In mid-2022, there were stirrings of life at the long dormant Astoria Cove site. Boutique condos like Eleven28 and The Bevy are sold out, and a small handful of availabilities at The Candle Factory start at $685K. Most recently, at the beginning of the year, sales launched at Marina Astoria, a new condominium on the waterfront at 30-05 Vernon Boulevard. Current availabilities start at $565K for studios, $630K for one-bedrooms, and $1.15 million for two-bedrooms.
Marina Astoria was helmed by an entity dubbed 3005 Vernon BLVD Joint Venture LLC and designed by Future Expansion Architects. The seven-story height and brick facade make it a respectful addition to the neighborhood, but the progressively stepped bricks and staggered balconies add character. The apartments will face one of three directions: the East River, the building’s inner courtyard, or a planted terrace.
