A building application was filed yesterday to build an 11-floor, 21-unit residential building at 427 East 90th Street in Yorkville. The mid-block property, located between First and York avenues, is occupied by a 5-floor walk-up building the city says was built in 1925. Isreal-based Minrav Group, under the LLC “427 E 90 Owner” is listed as the developer and acquired the lot in 2016 for $17.1M according to city records.
The project is a short walk from the 93rd street entrance of the Second Avenue subway’s 96th Street station. As we previously mentioned, sale prices in Yorkville have been on the rise in recent months, likely due to the line’s arrival. Also near Minrav’s project is the Asphalt Green rec center, Carl Schurz Park and numerous elite private schools.
