The first renderings of a new six-story residential building planned for 188-11 Hillside Avenue in Hollis, Queens have been released. Piermont Properties is at the helm of the project, which will have 16,751 square feet devoted to a community facility and 106 market-rate rental apartments. The average apartment will measure 743 square feet. Demolition permits have yet to be been for the single-story medical office building once home to the Hillside Manor Nursing Center currently on-site. However, property records show the lot traded hands in April 2017 to the 188-11 Hillside Partners LLC for $9.15 million.
Renderings by EDI International show a low-rise brick building with a distinct glass section and oversized windows in both components. It sits on top of a two-story, subgrade parking garage, but the Hollis LIRR and Jamaica-179th Street subway stations are both within walking distance to allow no shortage of commuting options.
