Well, that was fast. Almost exactly one year ago we announced that the Moinian Group will soon begin work on a 13-story residential and retail building at 572 Eleventh Avenue in Hell's Kitchen. Now, all 13 floors of the building are up and a flag has been mounted to mark the milestone. Rising from a site spanning the entire eastern frontage of Eleventh Avenue between 43rd and 44th streets, the building is surrounded by several new upscale buildings such as SKY, Gotham West and the condo conversion Inkwell. As Midtown moves west, Moinian is banking on the momentum and by year’s end will debut roughly 160 rental apartments in the building.

The site previously held the Market Diner which according to The Real Deal, Moinian purchased for $5.9 million in 2004. CetraRuddy are the architects of the 180,000 GSF building and are handling the towering rental nearby at 242 West 53rd Street. There will be more than 10,000 square feet of commercial retail at its cellar and ground floors, and apartments above. There will be a rooftop terrace, several outdoor amenity spaces, a lounge, and a fitness center. Follow updates on our building page to be among the first to hear of the leasing launch.
