By now, we should all know that every lot in North Williamsburg near McCarren Park will likely be re-purposed for residential development. The latest new building to come to the area is a ground-up condominium at 258 North 9th Street with a loft-like collection of homes priced from $1.85 million. Advanced by local developer Urban View, the Brooklyn-based company has already completed more than 100 developments including recent Brooklyn condo buildings at 244 Franklin Avenue in Bed-Stuy, 200 23rd Street in South Slope, 79 Clay Street in Greenpoint.
258 North 9th Street is designed by Infocus Design and Planning and its modernist exterior is faced with white brick and dark-colored bands at each of the floor slabs. The building rises a modest 6-floors and is nestled midblock between Roebling and Withers Street —directly adjacent to the 2010 condo, 260N9, and across from the large rental, Atelier Williamsburg.
Inside are 4 full-floor residences including a duplex penthouse with its own private roof-deck. The Serhant Team at Nest Seekers International is handling sales and marketing and the first of the units came online earlier this week with a $1.85 million ask. The unit is a 2-bedroom residence stretching 1,336 square feet across a full floor. Like all the building’s homes, the unit is accessed by a keyed elevator and provides large exposures, 9-foot-high ceilings, white oak hardwood floors and a private outdoor space.
The building is a short walk from McCarren Park and is a few blocks from the G and L train’s Metropolitan/ Lorimer Street subway station.
