As a follow-up to their streamlined designs at 1247 Atlantic Avenue and Steuben in in Clinton Hill, Manhattan-based AB Architekten has designed another sleek infill building for Brooklyn, this time at 112 Fourth Avenue at the Park Slope-Gowanus border. A recent posting by the firm shows a new look for the project, even more minimalist and refined than the previous released designs.
Permits filed in June 2019 show the project will be a single-unit townhouse with a private office, gym, and sauna on the ground floor. To stand 64-feet tall, the six-floor home may well be among the tallest single-family homes in the borough. Other features that can be determined from city permits include a wine cellar, laundry room, and recreation room in the cellar and a rooftop terrace. An interior rendering shows a spatially complex design of high ceilings, a neutral-to-dark color pallette, and a double-height living area.

The site is currently home to a three-story townhouse finished in 1899, according to city records. Demolition permits have been filed, but city property records show Kevin Britt picked up the two-family house for $1.87 million in 2016.
