Real estate investment firm, Hampshire Properties filed new building permits to build a 15-story residential building at the corner of West 91st & Broadway on the Upper West Side. The permit says the popular architecture firm of ODA New York are the architects of record and that the building will hold 33 apartments spread across nearly 60,000 square feet of residential floor area. In 2016, The Real Deal reported that Hampshire acquired the pre-war corner building at 2461 Broadway for $22 million and an adjacent two-story retail and office building at 2463 Broadway for $15.6 million. Demolition permits have yet to be filed.
Apartments will be spacious, hinting that condos may be in the works. There will be just 3 apartments per floor from levels 3-12 and full-floor apartments from levels 13-15. Commerical retail and amenity spaces will occupy the cellar and first two levels.
