Permits for a small residential development at 225 14th Street in Park Slope were filed back in March of 2016, calling for nine condominiums across five floors. CityRealty recently had a chance to stop by the booming Brooklyn neighborhood where the structure is now topped out at 50 feet.
A rendering posted on the fence matches the project's zoning diagram as well as what is visible behind the construction scaffolding. However, EDG Development posted a different rendering on their site that depicts a darker gray facade with a fifth story off to the right. Issac & Stern Architects, who are also working with EDG on
513 3rd Avenue, are behind the designs.
In this article:
225 14th Street should be completed sometime next year and hold 11,970 square feet of residential space, which works out to a roomy 1,330 square feet for each unit. The building will offer bike parking, car parking, residential storage, a recreation room, and a lounge. While the floor schedule does not indicate a common roof deck, there will be balconies on floors 2-5.
