As the west side of Lower Manhattan gets revived with a new WTC and other soaring new skyscrapers, Fortis Property Group's One Seaport (161 Maiden Lane) demonstrates that the East Side is now getting its share of attention. The Hill West-designed building will be the neighborhood’s first all-glass residential tower, and a recent site visit shows facade installation has begun on the 670-foot, 60-story condominium directly overlooking the East River and South Street Seaport.

While One Seaport’s anticipated completion is spring 2018, several of the 98 apartments are already in contract. Studios start at $1.45 million; one-bedrooms at $1.56 million, two-bedrooms at $3.115 million, and the remaining penthouse is priced at $7.145 million.
All apartments will have horizontal picture windows and floor-to-ceiling glass walls to embrace the panoramic East River views. The interiors by Russell Groves will also feature elevated ceilings, European oak flooring, open kitchens with Calacatta Gold marble backsplashes, and gray limestone bathrooms with freestanding tubs.

Many of One Seaport’s amenities were designed in honor of the building’s riverfront location. The children’s playroom will have a nautical theme, and the machines in the adjacent fitness center look out over the East River. The building's piece de resistance is the 30th floor water lounge with an infinity pool, rain shower, wet and dry saunas, and relaxation area.
