315 apartments accompanied by a bevy of amenities are coming to transit-rich downtown Jamaica. Officially named One Archer Avenue, the 24-story development broke ground this past October but is currently not listed as one of the city's essential construction sites, therefore work has likely been temporarily paused. The 326,000-square-foot an rental project is being pushed forward by S. Lawrence Davis' Shorewood Real Estate Group who picked up two adjacent vacant lots at 160-05 Archer Avenue and 92-25 160th Street in 2018 for approximately $19 million. The building will be the developer's first Opportunity Zone project .
Approved plans filed with the Department of Buildings show that Hill West Architects is the designer of record, a firm well-versed in the design and construction of multi-family high-rise buildings throughout the city. Whitehall Interiors will be handling interiors for the building. The project appears to be entirely market-rate and its full suite amenities are to include a game room, a fitness center, yoga room, pet amenities, a co-working space, a game room, dining and 'city view lounge' and a common terrace. There will also be 168 parking spaces and 25,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.
The building is close to variety of transportation options that can shuttle commuters into Midtown or or futher east on Long Island. Additionally, all the shopping, parks and amenities of Jamaica's burgeoning business district are nearby.
