Hot on the heels of an offering plan filed with the city, here’s a look at a new residential building that has just topped out at 653 Bergen Street in Prospect Heights. The eight-story building is rising from a 40-foot-wide parcel that is around the corner from 550 Vanderbilt Avenue, the cornerstone of the Pacific Park development, and Prospect Park. A sellout was not listed in the offering plan, but CityRealty data indicates that the average price of a Prospect Heights four-bedroom condo is $1.365 million.
Building permits were filed in May 2015 and approved in October 2016. They detail a 7-unit building designed by Issac & Stern Architects. All the apartments would be floor-through 4-bedroom units. A duplex penthouse and a roof deck is envisioned to top the 90-foot tall structure. The owner is listed as Bergen Gardens LLC, which bought the property for $4.23 million in April 2015 (per Acris).
