Two new developments designed by Domoarchitecture are coming to Williamsburg's busy Metropolitan Avenue. Newly-revealed renderings on the boutique NYC-based architecture firm's website show the two contemporary white and black buildings will be next-door to each other.
The first to go up will be the residential building at 650 Metropolitan Avenue, permits for which were originally filed in 2015. The white brick structure will feature 6 stories, 8 apartments, and residential storage. Condos are very likely, given the residential space will span 9,276 square feet, aka each unit will average around 1,160 square feet. A setback at the top floors will provide outdoor recreational space and a black wing on the right side will consist of private outdoor terraces. Permits additionally call for 1,417 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

The next-door development at 292 Leonard Street is currently occupied by a 3-story residential building with a ground-floor restaurant. Permits have yet to be filed but based on the renderings, it's safe to say a 4-story commercial and residential building will sprout up. The minimalist facade features a random (but pleasing) fenestration pattern and large glass windows.
