The first listings have come in for Brooklyn’s show-stopping condo, Element 88. Located at 88 Withers Street at the crossroads of East Williamsburg, North Williamsburg and Greenpoint, the nine-story project is being steered forward by Rybak Development and BK Developers.
An accepted offering plan shows the team is projecting a $48 million sellout for the building’s 33 one- to three-bedroom apartments, 33 storage units, and 25 parking spaces. The first units to come online average $1,290 a foot and are a one-bed priced at $797,500, a two-bedroom at $1,184,365 and a three-bedroom asking $1,780,650.

All of Element 88’s homes offer 12-foot-high ceilings, 10-foot-high doors, Tierra herringbone European oak flooring, Bosch washer-dryer, and Mitsubishi concealed slim-duct heating and cooling with independent zoned climate control. Kitchens have imported Italian Scavolini custom kitchen cabinetry and designer appliances. Baths feature a black marble wall that is complemented by Toto and Grohe fixtures.
Shared amenities include a 22-foot-high lobby with a seating area and reception/package room with a delivery system. The building’s second level has a 6,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor common space called “Element 88 Park.” Here there is a large wet bar and commercial grill, kid's play zone, lounge area, turf and sunbathing area. There is also an elevator, virtual doorman, roof deck, and parking and storage available for purchase.
A unique bonus to buyers will be a set of workspaces in the cellar that can be used as home offices, workshops, wine cellars or art studios.
The building sports a unique design conceived by Zproekt. The Brooklyn-based firm led by Igor Zaslavskiy was behind The Vue, The Wave and The Ocean condos further south in the borough. This building features some of their trademark exterior slashes, but the cantilevering floors and erratically-angling faces have no peer in in the city.
