Last month we reported the sales launch of The Joinery, the first luxury new-construction condo to open in the South Bronx. Led by Tahoe Development, the project team has just revealed model photos and virtual tours of select apartments that show off oversized picture windows, hardwood floors, 10'-high exposed concrete ceilings and walls, and state-of-the-art kitchens.
The 47-unit building currently has one-bedrooms priced from $459,000 — up from their initial prices starting under $400K. All units will have a private Juliet balcony, central heating, and air conditioning, and gourmet kitchens with white subway tile backsplash, Caesarstone countertops, custom graphite and white modern cabinetry, and finger pull hardware. Baths will have a deep soaking tub, Marazzi porcelain floor tiles, and white glossy ceramic wall tiles.
Designed by Michael Muroff Architect, the building’s nearly-finished exterior flaunts a dynamically-layered façade of grey brick, recessed terraces, varying window sizes and dashes of green and pink color. The seven-floor structure anchors the southern blockfront of 138th Street between Rider Avenue and Canal Place. It is several blocks north of Mott Haven’s now-in-flux waterfront and two blocks from the 4,5 and 6 trains’ 138th Street stations.
Building amenities include a virtual doorman, rooftop terrace, fitness center, yoga room, bike storage and closet for package deliveries.
