The new 33-story condominium known as The Vandewater at 543 West 122nd Street in Morningside Heights has launched sales. The 183-unit luxury residence was developed by Savanna and its exterior was crafted by INC Architecture & Design, the firm behind the interiors at the new Gramercy condo building at 121 East 22nd Street. According to a press release, there are “virtually no obstructions past the 20th floor” offering residents expansive views extending to the Hudson River, George Washington Bridge and downtown Manhattan skyline. Homes are available in studio to four-bedroom layouts priced from $920 thousand to $6 million.

The residences are available in a variety of layouts and select units have private terraces with views of Manhattan, Central Park and the Hudson River. They have oversized inswing casement windows with high performance double glazing and Low-E coating, 5-inch European white oak hardwood flooring with stained finish, a ClimateMaster HVAC system with zoned controls, a Whirlpool or GE front load electric washer and heat pump dryer, and custom pewter door hardware throughout.
Kitchens come in two tones of rich oak cabinetry with pewter hardware, honed Perla Venata quartzite countertops, Antique Brown granite island countertops and Miele stainless steel appliances. Master bathrooms are wrapped in honed Windsor Cream marble with a white oak double vanity and black travertine counter, and have a frameless floor-to-ceiling glass shower and soaking tub.
Morningside Heights is dominated by Columbia University’s student population though residents of the Vadewater can easily travel to Harlem just a few blocks to the east and to Hamilton Heights about 15 blocks to the north. The 391 foot tower hovers over much of the neighborhood primarily filled with low-rise prewar buildings and is near icons like Riverside Church, General Grant National Memorial and green spaces including Riverside Park, Morningside Park and St. Nicholas Park.
The Vandewater is a full service building with amenities and features a cobblestone motor court drive, a double-height lobby with 24-hour door service and concierge by Luxury Attaché. Pets are permitted and the building is equipped with a pet spa. Residents can also enjoy a salon, practice room, great room, club room and outdoor terrace with dining.
