Construction topped out on 232 Seventh Avenue in April 2017, and the façade has made its way to the uppermost floors of the 17-story, 50-unit high-rise. Designer C3D Architecture says that the building will feature subdued metal and limestone panels with full-height windows. This would make for a seamless exterior if not for the grilles of the packaged terminal air conditioners in every unit. They sit beneath the windows and show as obtrusiveve vents along the smooth surface.
While the air conditioners mar the look of the building, renters will undoubtedly appreciate having their own climate control. Other building amenities will include a laundry room, lounge, and rooftop terrace. The building is across the street from Whole Foods and located near the 1 and C trains' 23rd Street stations.
