For proof of the East Village’s evolution, look no further than the northern end of Alphabet City. Target has taken a space at 500 East 14th Street. One block away, Thirteen East + West (436 and 442 East 13th Street), a luxury two-building complex developed by The Amirian Group, has just topped out construction on both buildings. The six-story buildings designed by Tabanlioğlu Architects have facades with metal panels and Accoya wood cladding.
In this article:
Thirteen East + West will house twelve top-of-the-line condominiums between the two buildings. All full-floor, two-bedroom units will have floor-to-ceiling windows, private storage, Lualdi Italian doors, and Alta Cucine kitchens with a Miele appliance package. Each building will have one penthouse with a private roof deck and private, single-car garage. Prices start at $2.35 million for condos and $3.6 million for penthouses. Amenities in each building will include a virtual doorman with smartphone capabilities and a key-accessed elevator.
While the aforementioned Target has not yet opened, much of the classic East Village is still right outside the door of Thirteen East + West. Acclaimed neighborhood restaurants and bars can be easily reached in any direction, and Tomkins Square Park is a short walk away. The First Avenue L subway stop is one block away.
