37 Blue Slip, the first of two Greenpoint Landing rentals developed by Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group is expected to begin leasing by the end of summer, but the co-developers have not been idle. Rather, they have just announced plans for another two new rental development sites at the waterfront mega-development with the first expected to begin construction in 2019. The two new rentals will join the three existing affordable housing developments that opened in 2016 and 2017 as part of Greenpoint Landing, and the two market-rate rentals that are under construction.
Official addresses have not been announced but a recent press release tells us the buildings will contain more than 1,200 new units, 300 of which will be affordable. In total, Brookfield and Park Tower Group are now developing more than 2,000 units across four sites.

Upon completion, Greenpoint Landing will include 10 towers and approximately 5,500 residential units, 1,400 of which will be affordable. The 22-acre site will also be home to several retail amenities, four acres of public green space, and a new pre-K through eighth-grade public school. The first section of the waterfront esplanade is expected to open in a few months. Residents and visitors will enjoy unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline.
