As the center of Williamsburg becomes in ever-higher demand, developers and buyers alike have started looking to the east. The three-story building and garage formerly at 532 Lorimer Street have been demolished, and the site is being cleared for a five-story, nine-unit condominium to rise in its place. Renderings by designer 43 Hundred show a sleek brick building with floor-to-ceiling windows and extensive terraces on the upper floors. Apartments will have spa-like baths with spacious walk-in showers as well as modern kitchens with breakfast bars, sleek cabinetry, and top-of-the-line appliances. The renderings also show a courtyard, and plans say amenities will include a bike room, storage, and elevator.
An offering plan has not yet been filed, but its neighbors may offer some indication. Listings at The Lorimer started at $1.35 million last fall. A few blocks away, apartments at Casetta started at $730K. According to CityRealty data, the average price of a Williamsburg condo is $1.325 million.
