207W79, Morris Adjmi’s Upper West Side condominium at 207 West 79th Street, has been a few years in the works. Its location in the Upper West Side-Central Park Historic District meant that developer Anbau Enterprises needed Landmarks Preservation Commission approval to demolish the five-story rowhouse formerly on the site. Moreover, the new building’s height was reduced by a few stories in deference to the neighboring Lucerne Hotel, a New York City landmark. However, a recent visit to the site showed that construction of the limestone, brick, and terra cotta building with Art Deco accents is nearly complete.
