Throughout its construction, the Park and Shore development attracted considerable attention as Newport’s first new condominium development in 10 years. Now the seven-story Shore House, a luxury boutique condominium next to the soaring 75 Park Lane tower, has commenced closings and initial occupancy. Developer Strategic Capital made the announcement along with the news that Park and Shore is nearly 70 percent sold, making it the fastest-selling new development in Jersey City.
The boutique building was designed by Woods Bagot and inspired by Tribeca warehouses across the river. Inside, oversized windows showcase jaw-dropping views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline, and fill all 72 apartments with light. Clean, modern chef’s kitchens come equipped with a center island, smoke grey-painted millwork, white marble countertops, stainless steel sink, and full Bosch appliance package. Additional features include wide-plank walnut flooring, stylish master baths, and in-unit washer/dryer.
Shore House is topped with a roof deck with grilling and lounge areas, and contains a fitness center with TRX, strength, and cardio areas. Residents also have access to shared amenities in at 75 Park Lane, which include an Olympic lap pool, putting green, game room, wine-tasting lounge with private dining room and personal wine coolers, lounge with co-working and conference areas, and children’s playroom with adjacent terrace.
The nearby Newport PATH station allows for a quick and convenient commute to Manhattan. However, a thriving community can be found quite close to home: Newport Green Park offers abundant athletic opportunities, a large playground, and the only urban beach on the Hudson River. The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway provides direct pedestrian access to Hoboken amidst scenic views. The Newport River Market and Newport Centre Mall contain an incredible array of retail offerings.
Remaining availabilities in Shore House start at $670K for one-bedrooms and $1.16 million for two-bedrooms. Compared to Manhattan’s median condo prices of $1.195 million for one-bedrooms and $2.45 million for two-bedrooms (per CityRealty listings), this is an incredible bargain.
