In the early days of the Trump administration, a number of New York buildings protested the then-president’s policies by stripping the Trump name from their facades. More recently, the efforts have doubled down in the wake of the attack on the Capitol. New York City announced plans to cancel the Trump Organization’s contract with two Central Park skating rinks, a number of other entities have declined to do further business with the Trump family, and the manager of Trump Palace, an Upper East Side condominium, is looking into the possibility of granting residents’ request to remove the Trump name from the building.

Indeed, there were a number of listings in Trump-branded buildings among the largest price cuts of the past seven days. They were among the condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses in Manhattan, northern Brooklyn, western Queens, and parts of the Bronx to have experienced price adjustments. The Manhattan median condo price has risen 2.5 percent from last week to $2,105,215, or $1,700 per square foot. Manhattan’s median co-op, price, though, slid to $874,718.
