CIM Group and Macklowe Properties have now unveiled a model penthouse home at 432 Park Avenue in Midtown. The unit was designed by Robert Couturier and sits on the building's 86th floor at a staggering height of 1,132 feet. As we many of us already know, the tower soars to 1,396 feet in all, topping out at 96 floors earning the building the title of the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere.
Renowned interior designer Robert Couturier, named one of Architectural Digest’s top 100 designers in the world, took pleasure in furnishing the model. “432 Park Avenue is an incredible palette to work with, one that would be the envy of any designer,” he said. He chose furnishings from various eras, including contemporary pieces and vintage 20th century designs, to complete the task of creating a cultured apartment. His selections come from an all-star line-up of designers, including Vladmir Kagan, Gio Ponti, Maarten Baas, as well as some of his own custom-designed pieces.

The 4,028-square-foot residence hosts 3 bedrooms, 4 full baths, a powder room, and a library. The residence follows suit with others in the tower with a private elevator foyer, an entrance gallery, oak flooring, and a windowed eat-in kitchen with a marble breakfast bar. The master baths feature statuary book-matched marble floors and walls, freestanding soaking tubs, and 1,200-pound solid cubic Bianco Sivec marble vanities. Ceiling heights of 12-feet, 6-inches and oversized 10x10-foot windows make for a spacious living experience and maximize 360-degree views of the city.
Couturier also curated a collection of artwork for the penthouse that yields itself well to the residence’s high ceilings and well-lit interiors. He chose works by Hubert le Gall, Christopher Kutz, and Michael Eastman. The entire south wall of the living and dining room is occupied by a floor-to-ceiling installation of Sol Lewitt’s Wall Drawing #678. The effect is a residence with gorgeous views both inside and out.
Residents will also benefit from the tower’s amenity spaces, which span three full floors with double ceiling heights. The package includes a dining room, a lounge, and a landscaped terrace in the dining and entertainment departments. A fitness center managed by The Wright Fit is complete with a steam room, a sauna, and massage therapy rooms. More amenities include a 75-foot, 2-lane indoor swimming pool, a billiards room, a library, a screening room with a 220-inch screen, and an executive boardroom with a custom marble conference table and state-of-the-art teleconferencing equipment.
Occupancy for the tower began earlier this year, and current availability of remaining residences starts from $16.95 million for condominiums and $29,000/month for rentals. There are currently eleven apartments for sale and five for rent, ranging from two- to five-bedroom layouts.
