111 West 57th Street is the world's narrowest skyscraper, one of New York's tallest buildings, and home of some of the city's highest residential sales. In its latest superlative, Landmark Residence #17S had the highest contract from April 10-16, 2023 with an asking price of $15,750,000, which Olshan Realty's market report notes is an over $2 million reduction since it was listed off floor plans in 2016. It is located in the reimagined Steinway Hall component of 111 West 57th Street and offers four bedrooms, five and a half baths, and 4,768 interior square feet spread over two floors.

Another duplex home took the second-highest contract: Residence #1112 at The Belnord, which entered contract with a $13,195,000 asking price. The living space and three secondary bedrooms are located on the lower level, and the other bedrooms, including a primary suite with access to a private terrace, are on the upper level. The New York Post identified the buyer as media personality Alexis Stewart, whose West Village triplex entered contract in March 2023.

Moreover, it was another good week for townhouses in Manhattan. The top townhouse contract and third-highest overall was for 62 Jane Street, a Greek Revival townhouse in the heart of the West Village that was asking $9,995,000. The price represents a $1 million reduction from when it was initially listed earlier this winter, but the sellers, former General Electric vice chair Beth Comstock and her tech executive husband Chris Travers, nevertheless stand to make a tidy profit on it: When The Wall Street Journal announced the listing, it noted that the couple bought the townhouse for $5.75 million in 2012.
Further uptown, 172 East 72nd Street's asking price of $8,850,000 was high enough for the fifth-highest contract of the week. The listing copy notes that Oscar-winning movie Breakfast at Tiffany's was filmed on the same block, and listing photos show the same classic elegance that the film has come to epitomize. Neither the buyer nor seller has been identified.
