Robert A.M. Stern-Designed 70 Vestry Street is Now 60% Sold; Occupancy Slated for 2018

Robert A.M Stern’s elegantly designed and highly anticipated 70 Vestry Street is set for completion in 2018 but is already over 60% sold, according to Related Companies, including the $400 million of luxury residences currently under contract. Over the course of seven months, sales have reached more than $250 million and in the process the building has achieved the record of having more deals over $10 million than any of the other pricey downtown developments. 70 Vestry Street is located in the Tribeca neighborhood and is notably located on the last undeveloped parcel of riverfront property. Once complete, 70 Vestry will stand 14 stories and house 46 condominiums, and only 14 unsold units remain.

Part of 70 Vestry’s success is its rare waterfront location, its all-star team designers, including Daniel Romualdez, and the available amenities typically made for much bigger buildings. The luxury condominium building also offers a great deal of privacy and security which was surely a factor for celebrities like Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen who purchased a unit for $20M back in August 2016. Access to the building is via a staffed and gated porte-corchere that opens to a private cobblestone garden courtyard and a double-height lobby with 24-hour concierge. The automated parking garage is also accessed through the courtyard.

Other notable building amenities include a library, café, children’s playroom designed by Roto Studio, a Dog City pet spa offering day care, grooming, boarding and walking services, and an impressive wellness center that features an 82-foot lap pool, a yoga/Pilates studio, and sauna and steam rooms.

70 Vestry Street offers two penthouses, one of which just went into contract. The North Penthouse offers private elevator access, an eat-in kitchen, and a master bedroom with two walk-in closets and a dressing room. There are three additional bedrooms with en-suite baths on the first level. The upper level contains a large windowed kitchen fit for entertaining, a corner living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, and a solarium with wet bar and a study. Additionally, it has 3,300 square feet of exterior space across its three levels, including an outdoor kitchen and a private rooftop terrace giving its residents full city and Hudson River views.
