Sale prices in Trump-branded condos have declined by 25% since 2016
Election Day is just under two months away, and some voters remain skittish about making predictions based on polls after the last presidential election. However, there is one thing we can say with certainty: Those who bought in Trump-branded buildings aren't going to get quite the return on their investment they might have hoped. CityRealty's index tracking prices in Trump-developed condos show that overall closing prices in the city's nine Trump-branded condo properties have plummeted by 25% — from $2,047/ft2 in 2016 to $1,534/ft2 in 2020. Some buyers are increasingly eager to get out of the buildings, even if that means selling at a substantial loss.
