224-230 Clifton Place, also known as 1060 Bedford Avenue, is a new condo development coming to the Bedford Stuyvesant/Clinton Hill border with occupancy slated for Fall 2017. The structure recently topped out at five stories and will soon contain commercial space and 24 residential units, which will be a mix of 1- to 2-bedroom layouts. Karl Fischer Architect is behind both renderings for the project, the older of which was described as "boxy and gray" by Brownstoner. The new design now employs red brick and dark metal - perhaps more fitting for the neighborhood. East Wing Construction picked up the lot, a former car repair shop, for $4.645M back in 2014.
Sales launched nine days ago and are being handled by Corcoran. There are seven units on the market right now: 1-bedrooms start from 599k and span just over 600 square feet while 2-bedrooms span over 900 square feet and start from $910K. The priciest listing is 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit going for $1.025M.

Some notable apartment features include oversized casement windows, wide plank white oak flooring, central AC, and well-designed kitchens with matte lacquer Italian cabinetry in pale gray and white, Caesarstone countertops, Magnum Statuario slab backsplash, and a Bertazzoni cooktop and range. Other unit features include spacious bathrooms with walnut vanities and stone walls and an in-unit Bosch washer/dryer. Interiors were handled by Greenpoint-based StudiosC Architecture Studio, the same firm behind the recent Brooklyn rental developments at 137 Bayard Street and 1875 Atlantic Avenue.
While there doesn't seem to be any parking, the building does offer some a good amount of amenities to its residents: a virtual doorman, package room with cold storage, bike room, a storage locker for every unit, lounge, fitness center, a shared ground-floor garden, and a rooftop terrace. As for transportation, the G train Bedford-Nostrand Avenue stop is located just two blocks away.
