Ian Schrager is best known as the co-founder of nightlife standard Studio 54, but he has been quite active in New York's residential real estate scene as well with the development of 215 Chrystie Street on the Lower East Side and 160 Leroy in the West Village. Now, in the latter neighborhood, the hotelier has just listed his three-bedroom apartment at 176 Perry Street for $10.75 million. According to The Real Deal, who first reported the news, he purchased the full-floor, West Village residence for an undisclosed sum in 2002 and previously listed it for $16 million in 2014.
Finished in 2003, 176 Perry Street is part of a trio of glass towers (that also includes 173 Perry and 165 Charles) along the Hudson River waterfront designed by Pritzker Prize-winning (and recently accused) architect Richard Meier. Amenities shared include a state-of-the-art fitness center and room service from Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Perry Street Restaurant. Past A-list residents have included Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Martha Stewart, and Jim Carrey.
