The past week was a good one for downtown condos, with a four-bedroom apartment at 70 Vestry Street leading the charge at a $14,500,000 asking price. This corner condo features an expansive Great Room, an eat-in kitchen, four bedroom suites, and unobstructed views of Tribeca. Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have ranked among the building's notable residents, and the one remaining sales availability is a $65,000,000 penthouse; if it fetches that asking price, it will be the most expensive Downtown apartment ever sold.
The second-highest contract also took place in Tribeca, at Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank-turned-luxury condominium 49 Chambers Street. A three-bedroom penthouse with high-end finishes and grand proportions was asking $7,850,000. In addition to a luxurious residents-only amenities package, the building will welcome digital art museum Hall des Lumieres starting this September.
