All fourteen units at Saddle Rock Equities’ new Greenpoint condominium development at 160 West Street are now officially in contract. The 20,000-square-foot building, dubbed The Gibraltar, is situated on the corner of Huron Street and tops out at 6 stories. The building, from Eisner Design, features a grey paneled façade by Equitone, and a rooftop paved by Sunny Brook. Completion for the condo is expected this year.
Inside, the Gibraltar features 14 loft-style condominium apartments. Each has 6-inch bushed oak floors, 12-foot ceilings, and expansive private balconies. Modern kitchens have pure white Caesarstone countertops, Fisher & Paykel refrigerators, Bertazonni ovens, and custom made cabinetry. Baths include radiant heated floors and matte-finished ceramic walls. All residences also feature a central heating and cooling system, and in-unit washer/dryers.

The building is located just across the river from Manhattan, and has a roof deck that offer residents spectacular views of the city skyline. The building will also include on-site parking, bike storage, and a common roof deck.
With an average price per square foot of $1,301, units at the Gibraltar are slightly pricier than the current average asking price in Greenpoint, which is $1,021 per square foot. In September, the average condominium closing price was $1,259 per square foot, up from $991 per square foot last September. There are currently 42 condos for sale in the neighborhood.
Situated on the western edge of Greenpoint, the Gibraltar not only offers gorgeous views of the East River and Manhattan skyline, but is also within a vibrant community. The area hosts some of Brooklyn’s most highly rated public schools, as well as many convenient public transportation option such as the G train, and several bus lines.
