Today marks another milestone on 207 West 79th Street’s journey to become a mixed-use residential tower in the Upper West Side-Central Park West Historic District. Construction began this morning after a groundbreaking ceremony, with attendees including project manager Chris Glass, and architects CJ Anderson and Morris Adjmi. Anbau Enterprises purchased the property from Carlton Management and AMJ Equities in 2015 for $39 million. The new pre-war inspired building will feature standard fenestration and top out at 13 stories. The site previously held a five-story apartment building.
