Sales have officially launched for Long Island City's tallest condominium, The Harrison. The new building, located at 27-21 44th Drive, will host 120 condominium units and when complete in 2017, it will stand at 27 stories tall and reign as the tallest building of its type in the neighborhood. Situated in Court Square, the building is in development by Silvercup Properties, a partnership between Alan and Stuart Suna of Silvercup Studios and Mark Gold. The LIC-based firm S2 Construction is also signed on for the project.
Designed by GF55 Partners, the building will feature a warm and articulated masonry façade, a traditional departure from the many surrounding glass towers. Inside, residences will range from studio to three-bedroom units. Modern interiors will include stainless steel appliances, Technistone countertops, and Shaker-style cabinetry. South-facing residences on floors 4 through 14 will offer unparalleled vistas of the Manhattan skyline, and units on floors 16 through 25 will host balconies or large terraces. Two units on the second floor will also have access to large, private backyards.

Prices for the condos range from $495,000 to $2.5 million, and occupancy is slated for spring 2017. Situated in Court Square, they join 64 other condos for sale in Long Island City, where current listings have a median price of $1.175 million or $1,249 per square foot. Situated across from the Citicorp Tower, residents of the new condominium will have easy access to the several subway lines serving the neighborhood.
Residential developments continue to rise in the neighborhood, and The Harrison joins several underway, including Watermark Court Square, 44-28 Purves Street, and Halo LIC.
