Washington Heights’ newest condominium development has finally begun construction four years after permits were originally filed in 2012, and after the finished foundations sat for roughly two years. Formerly known as HAP Three, The Highbridge condos are situated at 446 West 167th Street steps away from Highbridge Park. The up-and-coming area recently received two of its first hotels, and is located near the New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Columbia Medical Center. Transportation to Midtown and Lower Manhattan is convenient via the A,C, and 1 train lines that all stop at the nearby 168th Street station.
HAP Investments is the developer for the project which will measure 33,149 total square feet; 25,968 square feet will be dedicated to the residential component and the rest will be divided between a ground floor ambulatory care center and a second floor community facility. The building will be 8-stories tall with 39 condominium units.

Residences will range from studios to two-bedrooms and are being designed by Daniel Goldner Architects. The developers have said that these condos are targeted at first time home buyers, most likely students and young professionals. Prices are set to start from $499,000 for a studio; $515,000 for a one-bedroom; and $625,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.
The apartments will be luxuriously designed with modern features like floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak flooring, PTAC air systems, and included washer/dryers. Spacious open kitchens will include stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and Italian tile backsplashes. Building amenities will include an elegant lobby with terrazzo flooring and stainless steel and spandrel glass paneled walls, a fitness center, virtual doorman, roof deck, bike room and individual storage. Occupancy is expected for winter 2017.
